Sevrin Baker
Sevrin Baker is a Neuroplastician, and a Corrective High-Performance Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K.) Practitioner who has been practicing in Nelson since 2003. His interest in how the human body works began when he was introduced to a Swiss Ball exercise class.
Through this exercise class he learned new and exciting ways to rehabilitate his own injuries and physical problems. This led to an awareness of how many common conceptions of body mechanics and exercise were incorrect, unfounded even. The straight forward explanations he received made understanding how the human body worked easy to understand. As this understanding combined with an impressive increase in his balance, coordination, and strength he was determined to learn more.
A year later his mentor, Ed Feuz, recognized Sevrin’s talents put him to work training his own clients. It was during this time that he received his certifications with the C.H.E.K. Institute. 4 years later Sevrin was working as an equal with his mentor both developing techniques and teaching each other.
